As exhaustingly busy as last week was, I made sure that this week was the exact opposite. It felt like a necessary pause that allowed me to do the things I wanted to do {instead of just the things I needed to do} like: read each night, take an afternoon bath, play card games, go for a walk after the first rain of the season, clean up my small, sweet garden + tend to my plants. While I know that everything is going to get a bit busier as we head into the holiday season, it was a nice reminder that almost anything can be dealt with in a few minutes, a few hours, or even the next day. I’m excited to drive down to San Diego tomorrow, explore my old stomping grounds, and enjoy an incredible La Jolla sunset {there is something so magical about them}. And I’m even more excited though for the cozier weather ahead, hopefully filled with even more rainy days, lit candles, and making time for the things we want to do.
