Entertaining: Academy Awards Party – Red Carpet + Gold Glitter Cupcakes, Hollywood Star Cookies, Brown Butter Parmesan Popcorn & Champagne

FullSizeRender-1030

I’ve never been a huge awards show fan. Sure, I’ll catch a few minutes on screen while I’m on the elliptical or I’ll review the fashion hits and misses in a magazine, post-show. But this year, I’ve decided that I’m going to watch all the glitz and glamour of the Academy Awards {on Sunday!} with an Oscars party. To keep with the Hollywood theme, I’m planning on serving champagne and sparkling cider, for a non-alcoholic option, in champagne flutes, red velvet cupcakes that I’m renaming red carpet cupcakes and topping with gold sugar, frosted sugar cookies I’m cutting into stars and writing our names on as our “Hollywood Walk of Fame Star,” and a brown butter parmesan popcorn. I’m so excited to spend Sunday indulging in decadent treats, while watching the glitterati of Hollywood and deciding what my favorite looks of the night are. I’d love to know, how do you celebrate the glittery awards show season?

A Dose of Pretty

And somehow, March is now upon us. While I can never get over how fast time seems to be flying by, it’s made me excited for all that spring will offer: cool, overcast mornings, fun weekend getaways, flowers in bloom, and more sunshine. This weekend I’m excited to spend some time spring cleaning the house, cooking some of our favorite meals {and enjoying them with a movie or two}, and chasing a sunset over the sea. Since we’ll be traveling next week, I’m feeling extra excited to savor our time spent at home. And with the forecasted rain, I cannot wait to light some candles, bake some cookies, and make our home feel as cozy as possible. I hope you have a great one as well! x
